My Gardening Philosophy

Gardening is fun, fruitful, and sustainable! Living on a tropical island, we have the opportunity to grow vegetables year round! The angle of the sun still changes and slows growth in the winter months, but year round growing is still possible. This gives us the unique opportunity to be food sustainable here. I believe that one day food seeds will be more valuable than gold. Basically because you can't eat gold! With rising costs of imported food there's never been a better time to start a garden!

All you have to do is water!

I will dig your garden, plant your seedlings, fertilize, pull weeds, create a daily watering schedule and harvest your bounty all for you! For a minimal startup cost, you can eventually be eating free, fresh vegetables from your very own garden!!

Aloha, my name is Kim and I have lived on the big island for a total of 23 years. I have had many gardens in this time. I live in Waiakea Uka and am blessed to have some rich soil. I love to dig in the earth and feel my connection to this planet. I have a dream of bringing food stands back to Hilo. I also dream that there will be so many gardens one day that those food stands will supply free food to the people of Hilo. Please join me in creating this dream into a reality!
